Day 315- Red, white and pink roses

This California Hand Print cloth came in a big pile of cutters. I looked at it as one I could make market bags with since it has a dozen small holes and three pretty good sized ones right in the middle. When I finally unfolded it and laid it out I was pleasantly surprised at how pretty it really is! And it’s Angies favorite color combo…

It’s now time to celebrate the real beginning of spring! From the blooming lavender and lilacs, the jasmine is just starting to open and the roses…well, we’d have tons but for the deer : ) the yard smells amazing! And how cool are these roses?

I was hoping they’d be open a little more for today but they are still stunning : )

Modern rose Fiesta teams well with scarlet and shamrock. The pink lace glasses and napkins are vintage as is the red footed bowl, but the green glasses are from IKEA and the pink bistro silverware is borderline vintage.

Because there are roses on the table there are cats -

Stuart HAD to check them out and Minnie is about 5 seconds behind.

I went over to Sue’s today to take some pics for my upcoming Sew Weekly challenge and we were able to get a quick shot of an iris:

That flower is almost 8″ across and smells like you think an iris should smell : ) I wish we had smell-0-vision…

After we do our May Day tea we’ll be doing several days of Mexican-themed tablesettings followed by another theme week – Around the world in 8 Days!

Stay tuned : )

Tomorrow – May Day Tea

51 days to go!!
