Day 239 – Happy Valentines Day!

Red hearts : )

Happy Valentine Day : )

Invite a friend to spend some time with you.

Polka dots and hearts

We’re trying to not be too cutesy, just cute enough to be appropriate without diabetes kicking in : )

Keeping things simple we start out with the obvious – scarlet and white Fiesta. The small red heart bowls came from the dollar section at Target some years ago. The little bags covered with red hearts were in the Christmas section at IKEA in 2010, along with lots of stars on blue. Made for a very odd Fourth-of-July-meets-Valentines-day themed Christmas : )

Check out the "napkin"

The “napkins” on the table are actually handkerchiefs! They’re a pretty good size, they were made to be used (really!) and can be had for a dollar or so.

The other "napkin"

Vintage bakelite silverware, red polka dot mugs and tea kettle and some stunning red tulips in a vintage milk glass vase and we’re ready for food : )

Use this day to tell your friends how much you appreciate them. You may not have *one* special mate in your life so let your closest friends be your “in case of emergency” posse : )

Tomorrow – Peaches, pears, grapes and plums

127 days to go!!
