Day 228 – Rainbow Blue

The blues

After the issues with greens yesterday I wasn’t about to get too confident about the blues today but things worked out well, I think : )

Blue circles

I had exactly the opposite problem – LOTS of blues! I’ve even got two versions of this, only slightly different but you can pick the one that appeals to you the most. This one has a white Homer Laughlin dinner plate with the blue band, while its alternate version is all blue:

The alternate : )

Okay, so maybe it’s not THAT different, so here are some better close-up shots –

With the white...

and here is the all blue –

...and all blue.

Depends on if you want more ‘pop’ and contrast or are having a monochromatic day : )

THE glasses!

To go with all that vintage turquoise Fiesta are a set of glasses my mom found on sale at our local Macy’s last summer. Since this is her favorite shade of blue she just HAD to bring them home. They’re not quite a fabulous as her enormous set of vintage glassware she bought at the flea market but for modern glasses they’re pretty cool : )

Stuart!

You would think that Stuart would know milk is coming. He hopped on the table and had every intention of staying the evening. The milk was put away, pictures were taken and he lost interest.

No blue flowers!

As I said yesterday there would be NO blue flowers on the table. These pom-pom mums were too beautiful to pass up, those blue daisies? They were easy to pass up : )

Tomorrow – Rainbow Purples!

138 days to go!!

I like the white plates better, they break the table up a bit more and make more sense with the rest of the white on the table, those flowers are just stunning, I’m with you on blue flowers there is something not quite right about those but I will still eat blue M&Ms.
